Milijana Majstorović, also known as Nana, has proudly been behind the name Synchrony Lab for over ten years, and her journey has unfolded as follows...
She completed medical school with a focus on pediatrics, after which she enrolled in a Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade, specializing in Surdoaudiology (FASPER). After completing her undergraduate studies, she began her education in Music Therapy in Belgrade in 2002, which she completed in 2007. During her four-year music therapy training, conducted at the Institute of Psychiatry at KCS and at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology in Sokobanjska, she gained significant experience working with both adults and children, both individually and in groups.
Since 2014, she has started working with parents and babies, teaching them beautiful communication skills through baby massage (IAIM program) and the Musical Baby Bonding program. To date, hundreds of families have gone through her training.
In 2016, she launched her own mini-music program called “Muzikanti”, aimed at parents and children from active crawling up to the age of three, focusing on developmental aspects as well as promoting music to strengthen family relationships.
In 2018, she created an original concept for Prenatal Musical Workshops (Sing Me a Soft Song While I'm in the Womb), designed for pregnant women and their partners. The goal of the workshops is to promote prenatal bonding and prenatal musical stimulation. Hundreds of pregnant women across the region and the world have experienced this music-educational journey and continue to do so. In the same year, she expanded her knowledge by training as a birth doula.
In 2019, she enrolled in a two-year PPNE program, one of the leading global associations in the field of pre- and perinatal psychology in the U.S. - APPPAH. She became a member and earned the title of PPNE (Pre and Perinatal Educator). She is the only pre- and perinatal educator in our region. In recent years, she has actively educated and conducted PPN webinars and workshops for both professionals and prospective or young parents on topics related to pre- and perinatal science.
Her further professional journey continued in 2021. when she enrolled in training for practitioners of integrative pre- and perinatal dynamics - IPPD. The knowledge and skills gained through this training help stabilize families, mothers, babies, children, and individuals who have experienced rupture during the pre- and perinatal period. The training covers various skills and approaches: Pre- and perinatal dynamics, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Therapy (PVT), Trauma-Informed practices, and more. In addition to an educational and instructional approach, she also applies therapeutic methods based on client needs.
In 2023, she launched an original course called Synchronization, aimed at those preparing for their parenting journey. The preconception period is a place of great potential. The Synchronization course guides participants through an educational experiential journey where they become familiar with conscious EARLY parenting practices.
That same year, she also initiated weekend workshops for professionals titled Introduction to Pre- and Perinatal Psychology, where participants are introduced to this scientific discipline so they can integrate it into their existing knowledge and practices. Professionals working in helping fields are welcome: doctors, gynecologists, midwives, medical workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, educators, special educators, doulas, lactation consultants, and all curious souls attracted to this field. You won't regret it!
In 2024, she launched the SYNCHRONY LAB ONLINE CLASSROOM, which (for now) takes place twice a year.
That same year, she completed the Polyvagal Informed Practice training, Rhythm of Regulation by Deb Dana, and earned the title of Polyvagal Informed Practitioner. Together with her colleague Marija, she initiated the first weekend intensive aimed at EVERYONE, where participants can learn about this approach in more detail. The knowledge and skills acquired from a polyvagal perspective can be applied experientially in everyday life.
In 2025, she completes the EmpowerLife program, a revolutionary training program consisting of three modules, i.e., areas dedicated to:
- Prenatal sciences,
- Human rights, and
- Healthy community advocacy practices.
She is also a member of the Prenatal Alliance.
In addition to her official academic and professional education, she holds certifications and training in:

In her free time, she sings (and dances). Music is her great resource. In 2023, she performed in Madrid at the Rockin'1000 event as the only vocal performer from Serbia, alongside 999 musicians from around the world, and she is set to repeat that experience in 2024, this time in Portugal. She is a proud mother of a little girl whom she considers her greatest teacher.
